Jane's Guide Here's all the help you need to use Jane.

Time Zones, Big Data and Your Import

So you’re in another time zone than Jane HQ or you’re providing a large data set, and you’re wondering how that affects your import or what changes you need to make for that.

Good questions! We’ll go through a couple of scenarios where things might change, but on our end and there’s nothing for you to worry about.

I’m in a Different Time Zone, How Does This Work?

Here at Jane, we work on Pacific Standard Time (PST).

When you’re scheduling your import, you’ll get the choice of two dates:

  • When you will be uploading the data
  • When you are hoping for the import to be completed by

Even though we work in PST, these dates are reflected in your Local Time.

The first date to upload will be the date selected at 6:00 p.m. local time, and the earliest import completed date will be 6:00 a.m. the next day.

Please note, due to this time change and depending on where you are, we may not have completed your import by your local time, so it’s best to plan for a day or two to allow us to complete that for you.

Big Data

If you’re a large clinic or you have plenty of historical data for us to import, we may need extra time depending on what software you’re coming from.

If we’re importing, for example, thousands of patient profiles, 50k+ historical appointments or charts, this can take our import team extra time in order to go through your data and make it importable to Jane. Please allow extra time when importing large data sets.
